Paul & Gayla Kilzer

523 Westmoreland

The Kilzers bought this beautiful Tudor style home ten years ago.  The house had been left vacant for at least three years and the lawn and bushes were very overgrown – so overgrown that it was impossible to see the beautiful side-porch arches and the three double hung twenty-four paned windows!  These enthusiastic homeowners were ready to tackle the lawn and overgrown bushes.  Their efforts paid off.  Gorgeous rose bushes that frame the arches had not bloomed in years.  After patient “taming” of the roses, they bloom annually and many LANA neighbors stop by to admire them year after year.

Neighbors contributed plants, clippings and advice for the front flower beds.  Hostas, mexican heather, azaleas and other perennials were planted. Gayla’s mother was instrumental in the initial planting of the front flower bed.
